Clutch Repair & Replacement

Get Your Truck Pullin' Right

If Your Clutch Is Slipping, Don’t Wait Until It Quits.

A clutch that slips, grabs, drags, or refuses to engage properly won’t fix itself. Keep running it, and you could end up stranded—or turn a clutch job into a much bigger transmission or driveline repair.

Fun fact: Even many “automatic” semi-trucks have clutches. Automated manual transmissions shift electronically, but they still rely on a clutch to transfer power and can require clutch service or replacement.

At Redneck Diesel Performance, we provide heavy-duty clutch replacement for semi-trucks and medium-duty rigs. Whether your truck is powered by a Cummins, Detroit, PACCAR, CAT, or MaxxForce engine, our experienced diesel technicians can diagnose the problem and get the power transferring to the ground the way it should.

Common signs of a failing clutch include:

- Slipping under load

- Hard or difficult shifting

- Grinding gears

- Loss of pulling power

- Clutch grabbing or shuddering

- A pedal that feels loose, stiff, or inconsistent

- Difficulty getting the truck into gear

We don’t just pull the transmission and throw in a clutch disc. Our technicians inspect the complete clutch system, including the flywheel, pressure plate, release bearing, linkage, hydraulics, and other related components.

That way, we can identify what caused the failure and address the entire problem—not leave a worn component behind to damage the new clutch.

Our semi-truck clutch replacements use quality components selected for heavy loads, long hauls, and demanding working conditions. Every part is installed and adjusted to the proper specifications for smooth engagement, dependable operation, and long-term durability.

No shortcuts.

No guesswork.

No replacing one part while ignoring the rest.

If your big-rig clutch is slipping, grabbing, or starting to feel wrong, don’t wait until it leaves you sitting on the shoulder.

Bring it to RDP, and we’ll get you back on the road pulling strong.
