Gunslinger doesn’t blend in—and she was never built to.
Covered in a color-shifting paint job that changes from blue to gray depending on the light, this 1995 Western Star is made to turn heads before it ever hits the track. Under the hood sits a Cat Model E engine, proudly powder-coated red, white, and blue to match Gunslinger’s all-American attitude.
But this rig is far more than a showpiece.
Gunslinger competes in both big-rig drag racing and sled pulling, delivering the power and versatility needed to dominate in either lane. A custom grille cutout gives the front end its unmistakable menacing look, while a hand-crafted mural across the back of the sleeper adds a personal touch to this one-of-a-kind build.
Mounted over the fifth wheel is a mock .50-caliber gun, completing Gunslinger’s aggressive stance. Driven by our shop foreman, this Western Star doesn’t just roar—when she lets loose, she shoots flames up to 10 feet into the air.
Built to perform.
Built to intimidate.
Built to win.

Built to be impossible to ignore, Bootlegger is Todd Stewart’s vision brought to life—a one-of-a-kind machine created to stand apart and rewrite expectations.
Before becoming Bootlegger, she was found sitting in a field just five minutes down the road from our shop. What started as a forgotten 1961 White Super Mustang was brought back to RDP and completely transformed in-house in only three months.
The build was completed by Todd, ATV Shop Foreman Ewell, four RDP mechanics, and our service writer—a true team effort from start to finish.
Bootlegger rides on a 2018 Brinks armored-truck chassis, retaining the original Brinks steering and front suspension. The rear is a custom hybrid setup fabricated using components from multiple truck rear ends. Its one-of-a-kind braking system combines Brinks medium-duty brakes, heavy-duty air brakes, and custom-fabricated hydraulic disc brakes with electric assistance.
At the heart of Bootlegger is a brutally capable 14-liter Detroit Series 60, built and sponsored by ATL Diesel Parts. The engine features an ATL cylinder head, a 1,000-horsepower 12.7-liter camshaft, and a compound-turbo setup with a 78 mm turbo feeding a massive 106 mm.
Weller Truck Parts sponsored the transmission and rear-end setup, which includes an 18-speed transmission and locking rear differential built to put the power down.
The suspension blends old-school ingenuity with modern performance. Up front, the original spring suspension was converted to air ride. In the rear, Bootlegger uses a Neway suspension sourced from a cement truck. Massive 24.5-inch tires were needed to clear the custom braking system, adding even more attitude to the build.
Nearly every component has been powder-coated in Bootlegger’s signature color combination of Jamaican Teal, Chameleon Sapphire, and Bentley Blue, with only the black and chrome parts left untouched. The bold, color-shifting palette gives the build a finish every bit as unique as the machine itself.
Even after its complete transformation, Bootlegger still carries its 1961 roots. The original dash was powder-coated and reinstalled along with the original shifter and gauge cluster. The factory fuel tank was repurposed into a massive 160-pound icebox that supplies a water-to-air charge cooler, helping keep intake temperatures under control.
Race-ready supporting equipment includes an NHRA-certified fuel cell, a FASS 540 fuel-pump system, and a custom NHRA-certified roll cage. Nitrous Express sponsored the Nitrous Cannon and two 15-pound nitrous bottles, while a wireless Bluetooth race display keeps critical information within view.
The finishing touches include Infinite Offroad-sponsored underglow, complete LED lighting, a Rough Country dual-motor onboard air system, a custom-built steering shaft, and three Icon lithium batteries with onboard charging.
Towering seven-inch custom exhaust stacks rise from a one-of-a-kind exhaust body, and for added safety a positive air shutoff valve was installed on the intake of Bootleggers engine. To make everything fit—and give Bootlegger its unmistakable profile—the hood was stretched from 78 inches to an aggressive 116 inches.
Driven by Todd Stewart, owner of Redneck Diesel Performance LLC, Bootlegger is more than a custom race truck. She’s proof that something forgotten in a field can be brought back, rebuilt, and turned into something unforgettable.
Built in-house. Built to race. Built to be remembered.
